6 months with Laithean Sedai

Who gave this Sister a camera!? I don't believe I have ever had so many pictures taken in my life! Take a moment to go grab some popcorn and a beverage because it will take a little while to get through all of my adventures with Laith.

It started at TarValon.net's 11th Anni party in Colorado in April of 2012...

Here I am taking a ride on Laithean's nook and she perused the main cabin in her amazing "Brown Sister" costume.

I got to sit in on the Brown Toast, and passing of journals. It was lots of fun! Here are all the Browns I got to hang out with that night:

Pylar Sedai

Naomi Sedai

Wil Gaidin

Accepted Keladria

Accepted Karaelyn

Amarande Gaidin

Rinwyn Sedai

Laith and Topher took me into town with them while they shopped for gifts and treasures. Here I am searching for some polished rocks for their son.

Laith wanted to stop at an antique shop.  She found the antique books most exciting!

Laithean always brings her special teddy bear "ZZ" with her when she travels.  He and I became great friends hanging out in the Cabin at Anni.

Laithean and Topher drove out to Colorado from Minnesota, so when Anni was over I got to go on an 18 hour road trip! Laith made sure I was safe and secure in the car. She is always looking out for her friends and family.

The Trip got really long and boring when we had to venture through Wyoming! Nothing to look at. No trees, hills, flowers, houses, animals.... NOTHING!

Thankfully Laithean is a smart Brown and brought her nook with.  She read out loud to Topher and I through most of the trip. The Hunger Games was much more interesting than I expected.

Topher took us through the Black Hills and we got to see some animals.  Way more interesting than Wyoming! Sorry Wyoming...

We got to stop and see the National Monuments in South Dakota along the way. Here I am checking out the Crazy Horse Monument.

Here is Mount Rushmore! Someday perhaps I will have a mountain of my own dedicated to the one and only traveling dust bunny in the world!

It was a long and interesting road trip, but we finally made it to Laith and Topher's house.

The Ladies were very welcoming! They gave me a place to stay on their shelf, and offered me some wonderful Borscht.

During the TarValon.net Anni party Laithean (a cosmetologist) donated her time and skills, along with a fellow hair stylist, to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths hair drive.  The ladies of TarValon.net donated over 150 inches of hair to be made into wigs for people fighting cancer. While I was not able to participate in donating, I was able to help Laithean get all the hair boxed up and sent to the donation center.

The hair was separated and tagged with each ladies information, then packed very carefully into a box.  Here I am helping Laith package the hair and wrap the box for shipping.

We had to make sure it was all taped up and secure!
Then Laith addressed the package.  I helped make sure she got the address right.
Finally it was off to the post office.  I held the package on my lap to make sure it didn't go sliding around.

During my stay with Laithean, Cassie Sedai and Soro Gaidin moved to Minnesota! Laith and I got to hang out with those two for an entire evening of crazy games and wings! (I am pretty sure Cassie cheats at games, but Soro, Laith, and I can't prove it....yet)
Buffalo Wild Wings aka B-dubs.
Honey BBQ. Delish!
Soro was very excited to have another man to hang out with.

I found all three of my friends had wonderful "Ferdi Balance".

Laithean's little girl, Lynnea, had an Easter egg hunt.  I got to help hide all the eggs!

Cassie and Soro invited Laith, Topher, and I to a Baseball game at the new Target Field Stadium! It was AWESOME!
Here we are getting a bite to eat before the game.

We ate at Kieran's Irish Pub

Outside Target Field. I was soooo excited!

Check it out! The Minneapolis skyline. It was awesome to watch as it started to light up further on into the night too.

We had incredible seats thanks to Cassie and Soro. They were so generous to offer us the ability to tag along! The Twins lost the game, but it was great being able to share my first experience at the new stadium with such great friends.

Topher offered me a great seat on his shoulder. Such a great guy!

I was hoping to find some snacks in Laith's purse, but all I found of interest was her nook.  Yep, she brought her nook to a baseball game...

One of the greatest adventures I got to be a part of during my stay with Laithean was helping out with her and Topher's wedding! On August 11th Laithean and Topher got married, and I got to be there! It was very special.  Here are some pics of me helping set up the reception and posing with Laith and Topher.
Laith's centerpieces were hollow books filled with chocolates!
They had candle holders with their names and the date.  They were very cute.  I only helped with these before they were lit.  I didn't want my fur to catch fire!
They had a very simple dinner with fruit, nuts, and sandwiches.  I helped prepare the fruit.
I had to make sure the cards would fit in Laithean's special card box.
Carrying around buckets for silverware was tough work! I was happy to help for such a special occasion though ;)

Here I am with Laith and Topher.  Such an amazing couple! I will really miss them as I continue my travels.

It was a fantastic 6 months with Laithean, Topher, Lynnea, and Jared! We had such a great time hanging out and taking pictures.  I don't know yet where my next adventure will be, but I know Laith will get me to my next destination safe and sound!

Jordan*Con With Naomi Sedai

This gentleman is Rick Fife. An amazing Robert Jordan look-a-like!

Brown Outs are catching...

I had been warned that Brown Outs were catching. I find this information to be true.  While I have been enjoying many adventures over the years, I have browned out on updating my blog so that my loyal followers can enjoy the sights with me. Alas, I will be working on remedying this...

Here I am bowling with Cassie Sedai:

First I had to choose a ball. There were so many, and far heavier than they look.  Good thing I have been keeping in shape.

I believe we may have been in an ancient bowling ally judging from this computer station.

The breeze from this ball return was fabulous!

Cassie took this picture a little early. What you don't get to see is my amazing strike and my happy dance.

Summer Europarty in Rotenberg, Germay AND moving on!

Soo.... Here's Ferdinand again, this time about the awesome Euro Party in Rotenberg "Jugendburg" in Germany. It was SO much fun, and I met so many wonderful TVnet members, most new to me but some people I already knew (and stalked... *evil smile*). Anyway. Here are the pics, enjoy!

Here, in the first one I'm sitting on top of Taika Sedai's luggage on Frankfurt airport train station. We took an IC train to Mannheim, and then continued to Wiesloch-Walldorf (I know, these German town names... *rolls eyes*), where we continued by bus to the Rotenberg town, and walked up the hill to the party castle. Everyone else were already there, and we were quite late since we missed one train and had to wait. But nevermind... I was tired after the journey and spent the time in our room labeled the (pie) cookbook (*arch*).

Next day, we went to see the medieval Burg Steinsberg in a nearby town. It looked like this:

Here I'm posing on top of the donjon of the castle. It had 4 meter thick walls, and very worn steep wooden stairs. I'm glad Taika Sedai carried me in her backpack. It'd have been a pain to bounce up all the stairs!

After getting back down we had some refreshments. Here I'm taking a sip from Taika Sedai's coffee. Rijomu Sedai's sitting next to us.

Well, SHE (Rij Sedai) had much better refreshments, and she offered me some of her wine and cheese cake (after I had glared at her menacingly for a while *nods*)

Well, then. The evening went nicely with some beer and campfire, and the citizen Argent "Ninja" Shiroi kept the fire alive for us. We roasted marshmallows and various other stuff (*look*) at the fire. The second day we visited a medieval market in another nearby town. This time I stayed at the castle... had hell of a hangover...

And at Saturday evening there was the banquet with official ceremonies (led by Alyssa Sedai of the Yellows). The dinner was good, and I stealed some of Rij Sedai's wine, too. :D

Here she is, carrying me in one of my favourite places (at least on Aes Sedai *nods*).

Here I'm meeting my new host, Thalya Sedai from Sweden! She's a real Aes Sedai, she could glide, have conversations, and even nod while I was sitting on top of her head!

It took one of Isarma Sedai's lively country dances to scare me off her head. Here we're waiting for the dance lesson (3-hour long!!!) to begin.

Well... You know dancing is not really my thing, so I went to the banquet room and stole the Goldstrike. You can just see the magic clock on the background of the picture. This party was the starting point for a new cult: the cult of the magic clock! Whole bunch of people sat there at the last night just to watch the hauted clock... They're all believers, now.

Well well, this evening I had quite a lot of drinks (had to, since I know Thalya Sedai doesn't drink alcohol at all, so I'll have to sober up a bit... :/ ), and said goodbyes to Taika and Rij Sedais. The next day we - Tha Sedai and I - started our journey to Sweden! Exciting!!! I'll post more when I've got past the after-party sleep deprivation and hangover! ;)
