Los Angeles!

Wow! Los Angeles... the entertainment capital of the world! There's so many interesting things to see in Los Angeles: The Walk of Stars, the Hollywood Sign, footprints of stars at Mann's Chinese theatre, Venice Beach, the Malibu hills, Disneyland!

Ismene brought me to... the Los Angeles Public Library. It's the largest library west of the Mississippi with over 6 million books!

Here's me, in the rotunda.

Another rotunda shot. The chandelier has a globe, ringed by the signs of the zodiac.

Austin Texas!

Hey! My Texas adventures continue! Here I am in Austin.

Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas. These were growing on Congress Street, just outside the Capitol Building.

And here's the capitol!

Inside the Texas State Capitol Building is a statue of Stephen Austin, whom the city of Austin is named for. There's a matching statue of Houston on the other side of him, which you can't see in this picture.

Wow! This ceiling goes all the way up!

Here's another shot of the inside of the dome.

Phew! Texas sure is big. This is a part of the tile floor inside the capitol building.

I saw at least two other cool places in very hot Texas.

Here I am against the downtown Austin skyline. You can see the Frost building in the bankground. (It's a bank).

And! Here's Bookpeople, one of the country's largest independent booksellers! It's got over 4 floors of books!

Keep your eyes open! I have more adventures to be posted soon...

Here I am in Texas. Today Ismene and I are headed to San Antonio.

This is the Riverwalk!

Most of the Riverwalk was built for the World's Fair. It winds around for several miles! I took a stop at this little stone bench...

And look what I saw!

There are lots of great Mexican restaurants along the Riverwalk. Ismene and Taric took me out for margaritas! Whee!

And what trip to San Antonio would be complete without a visit to the Alamo?

That's it for now! Check back soon to see pictures of my travels in Austin, TX!
